The facts:
As Design Director, you'll lead the delivery of wayfinding projects from concept through to implementation, overseeing project teams and building strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants and internal teams.
You'll bring proven experience delivering large-scale, complex wayfinding systems, providing strategic direction while guiding projects through every stage of delivery. You'll also help establish design standards across the studio, and enjoy the detail that brings wayfinding to life - from information design and system thinking through to site visits and installation.
You'll be:
- Leading, mentoring and championing a talented team of designers.
- Working closely with the Creative Director to shape design standards, studio culture and some seriously good work.
- Steering projects from concept through to implementation, collaborating with clients, architects, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Presenting ideas, supporting business development and building lasting client relationships.
- Keeping quality front and centre, because the little details really do matter.
- A natural communicator who can build confidence, navigate tricky conversations and keep everyone pulling in the same direction.
You'll have:
- Significant experience delivering wayfinding and environmental graphic design projects within the built environment.
- A portfolio that showcases not just great design, but the thinking, strategy and process behind it.
- Proven project management experience delivering large-scale wayfinding systems.
- Experience leading and mentoring designers, bringing out the best in those around you.
- A sharp eye for detail, with a genuine appreciation for information design, typography and beautifully considered design systems.
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, a good understanding of Revit, and experience using SignAgent would be advantageous.
- Project or design management qualifications are a bonus.
