The speed read:
A brand experience agency covering both B2B and B2C events (think brand showcase, product launch, pop ups, employee events) is looking for a Business Development Manager.
The facts:
You’re looking for a role that allows you to grow. You’d love to line manage but take it one step at a time (1 person at the moment) while improving your business development skills through working closely with the MD.
You have a genuine interest in the creative and events sectors. You enjoy being around people and a nice balance of networking with both new and existing clients, as well as focused lead generation. At the end of the day, you want to build strong relationships that lead to long-lasting partnerships.
While you are motivated by outcomes you know how to read the room and when to take a step back and listen. You want to get to know existing and potential clients, learn of their challenges and goals, and keep them updated with latest projects and the agency’s work.
You know how to sell the brand and want to actively work with the marketing team to come up with marketing strategies, campaigns, and content. You’re also keen to represent the brand (at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.) and know how to put your best foot forward.
The company is growing and has no plans of stopping, hence the need for a new business manager. It’s a new role, so you can really make it your own.
You’ll be:

  • A great communicator able to build long lasting relationships with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Aware of how important it is to close a sale.
  • Running the CRM system.
  • Doing a mix of lead-generation and networking events.
  • Line managing someone who will support you in your role.

You’ll have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant role (it could be more junior and you’re ready to take a step up).
  • The drive to reach out to potential clients on your own initiative.
  • Experience using Google Workspace, Google Meets, Microsoft Office, Teams, CRM (such as Salesforce, Pipedrive, Monday, etc).

Please attach CV and Portfolio/Link to website (for design roles)
Applicants must be living in and have the right to work in the UK.
